Starke Co. Relay For Life
Tonight starts Starke Counties Relay For Life events. It is going to be soo much fun. A bit of rain and some hot muggy weather, but nothing we can not have fun in! I will let you all know how the night goes!
Ok, as for Relay night! It was great! NO Rain, very hot and humid. I think this year was the record for the most Silent Auction gift baskets. I did not count them, but there were 2 rows that were crazy long. In total when the night was over little old Starke County had raised $28 000, but we are still able to turn in money until Augustish. We are well on our way to the goal of $32 000. Way to go Relayers!!! This years them was Relayville. There was a jail, a flower shop, a library, and a few other shops. Everyone that participated spelled out the word life and we had the ariel firetruck from Knox for Bob Goetz to take pictures from above. It turned out awesome! It is always so much fun to Relay and is such a rewarding event! Way to Go Starke County!!
We are a pretty simple family. We have a son Braden, dog Jez, and four horses. Right now I am all about going green. I recycle and compost like crazy and we love the outdoors and traveling.
